PSC Enterprise Forum

Regular  events with powerful speakers from a range of business sectors, including social entrepreneurship. Workshops on raising finance and promoting yourself along with your business.

PSC Leadership Forum

Leadership workshops and 'Link & Learn' roundtable discussions with inspiring role models at the very top of their game. Leaders from industry, politics, not for profit, and entrepreneurs share their top tips for career and business success.

Summer Reception - The River Room House of Lords

By kind permission of The Lord Speaker, The Baroness Hayman. On the last day of term for Parliament, we celebrated summer in style and raised funds for Save the Children in these luxurious rooms overlooking the river, graciously hosted by The Earl of Erroll and Lord Taylor.

Women and Political Reform - House of Lords

In partnership with WIPP UK, we enjoyed a lively and absorbing debate chaired by Baroness Scott with panellists including  Indra Adnan of the Downing Street project.

Enterprise Forum at the House of Lords with award-winning entrepreneur Katherine Corich

Hosted by Lord Ahmed and Lord Erroll, the inspiring Katherine Corich of SYSDOC shared with us her business journey and ethics. Katherine  demonstrated how strong leadership comes from valuing each team member and urged all entrepreneurs to outsource core services and focus on business strengths. Her approach looks first at business outcomes,  which certainly leads to success - proven by the amazing 42% growth achieved last year in the toughest economic climate. Katherine also came up with some great ideas for 'UK Plc' so more on that soon.....she then answered many questions from delegates and we debated the opportunities for UK enterprise of this flexible way of working. The debate was followed by a Pimms networking reception with wonderful local & seasonal delicacies. 

State Opening of Parliament 

Members enjoyed sparkling English wine to celebrate the Queen's Speech and the ceremony of the new Parliament.

Women in Business Forum & Reception

In partnership with Women in Public Policy (WiPP) UK, WiPP US and WEConnect Europe. We enjoyed an interactive and vibrant panel debate chaired by Baroness Symons, with leading business women including the fabulous Joy Nichols MBE and great input via skype from the US! Followed as ever by a networking reception.

The Spring Swish

Members mingled with lots of new faces to swap quality cast-offs over drinks & nibbles in support of Dress for Success. It was a fabulous evening with super styling tips from Kaz Brine. We all went home happy with our 'new' clothes having collected a good range of business attire for the charity to help disadvantaged women back into work.

Leadership Forum & Launch of Menternship Programme

We heard from the inspiring and awesome Felicity Aston about how she created, trained and led the first Women's Commonwealth Antarctic Expedition. There was much interest in Felicity's huge achievements which she advised us are down to lots of training, brilliant teamwork plus visualisation and determination - especially when people told her it couldn't be done!

Then Leadership Director Vanda Green, along with Sue Lawton of WEConnect, launched the innovative PSC Menternship programme which will offer mentoring, including mutual mentoring, plus 'menternships' with successful entrepreneurs within their business. Private View of the Mediaeval Galleries and Lunch at the V&A

Brilliantly organised by Save the Children Kensington, a very special tour with superb guides revealing some of the fascinating facts behind the exhibits, followed by a lovely lunch in the Friends Room provided by benugo.

'A Christmas Cocktail' Banqueting House, Whitehall

In aid of Save the Children Fund, we enjoyed wine & canapes whilst seasonal shopping in the glorious Banqueting House!

 'interprise:09' Enterprise Summit & Annual Debate

Leading entrepreneurs, academics and parliamentarians met to share ideas on business and enterprise during Global Enterprise Week. The event was electric with energy! Women in Leadership bi-annual meeting -House of Lords

 An amazing day with women from across Europe plus a US videoconference, sharing knowhow on leadership and developing the next generation of leaders.

'Reflets de Voyage', Royal Institution the stunning new works from PSC Ambassador Member Tess Barnes, Artist in Residence at the Royal Institution, acclaimed portrait artist with her book 'Women of Substance'.  www.tessbarnes.com

'Dress for Success' at Harvey Nichols

We were with Dress for Success for its glittering annual Champagne & shopping evening to support this amazing charity that helps disadvantaged women back into work.

PSC members were first to preview the lucious new Autumn range whilst  networking over Champagne & petit fours. One ambassador member bought an entire new wardrobe - we look forward to seeing her at future events looking stunning in the glamorous outfits she chose!

Afternoon Tea Debate & Launch at the House of Lords, SW1 

Dr Dinah Bennett, Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning, Durham University and the Council for Industry and Higher Education launched the research report: 'Developing Entrepreneurial Graduates:Future Proofing the Student Experience'. Hosted in the Attlee Room by The Earl of Erroll and The Lord Ahmed, alongside Helene Martin Gee,  leading academics, students and business people.

Private View of  Alice Instone's stunning 'Interview with a Shoe' plus fabulous After Party at Beach Blanket Babylon

Founder member Alice Instone's inspiring exhibition 'Interview with a Shoe'  was a huge success! Portraits of the footwear of some of the world's most influential people, including Annie Lennox, Cherie Blair & Bianca Jagger. www.aliceinstone.com 

Pink Shoe Birthday Party in aid of Save the Children

We heard from the amazing explorer Felicity Aston, who is leading the first Commonwealth Women's Antarctic Expedition. Pink Shoe events are ...thought provoking

Events that progress our careers and businesses, share knowledge, and pass on expertise to others and to the next generation. Events that make us think and act...Many successful women are finding life at the top isn't opening up as quickly as it should and we're working to change all that.

Pink Shoe Club considers issues from every perspective with a forum to exchange ideas and seek practical, tangible solutions. Then via its close links with Westminster and Whitehall it delivers ideas direct to decision makers. And follows up the action too. Events include:
